LifeOnKey has succeeded on a second AAL project, INNOVCARE, which will be based on LifeOnKey platform. This project is coordinated by Wellness Telecom(Spain), and is part of a consortium of European companies and institutes giving services to adult population.
INNOVCARE’s vision is to bring to the market a new ICT support system that is designed specifically to provide care services and innovative self-care to this population. INNOVCARE includes prevention and care management in an innovative and comprehensive manner, involving health professionals, informal carers and older people – all as a team – to work together to improve the health of the elderly and their wellbeing in three main pillars: (1) physical activity monitoring through mobile technology, (2) assessment of neurological status via mobile smartphones and (3) self-care support network also promoting the participation of informal carers and exchange of information between those 3 team members. INNOVCARE partners consider this model as a basis for improving and promoting behavior change among the elderly, from passive patients to committed individuals.
INNOVCARE will be a new platform with a suite of applications and wearables that are developed by the different partners, using the LifeOnKey platform as the infrastructure
